Faith Alive's Center of Excellence is a suite of medical diagnostic and surgical equipment that have been added to the Hospital since 2016. The Center serves two purposes: It dramatically increases the types of services available to the poor free of charge AND it provides convenient healthcare to wealthier fee-paying patients who would otherwise have to travel hours for care. The Center thus provides an income stream from these wealthier patients that subsidizes Hospital operations. That income stream is about $50,000 annually to help run the Hospital!
Currently, the Center includes Digital X-Ray, Fibroscan (liver diagnosis), Colposcope (OB-GYN), Echocardiogram, Electrocardiogram, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Eye surgery, and other diagnostic tools. Every time an investment is made into the Center, the need benefit and the Hospital gets a new income stream.
