Sasha Leahovcenco / Director
Sasha Leahovcenco is a humanitarian, entrepreneur, and photographer originally from Moldova, the poorest country in Europe.
Growing up in Moldova, Sasha excelled in martial arts, representing his country
twice at the World Cup. He became one of Moldova's youngest gold medalists at the Taekwondo World Cup in 2000 and later secured two silver medals at the 2004 World Cup.
Sasha moved to the United States to pursue a bachelor's degree in finance, where he discovered photography while working as a campus sports photographer. His photographic journey has taken him across the globe, documenting humanitarian crises in Haiti, Philippines, Indonesia, Uganda, Ukraine, and the Middle East, and exploring remote locations such as Chukotka, the northernmost region of Russia.
Sasha first visited Jos, Nigeria, in 2013, where he formed a strong partnership with Faith Alive and has continued serving there since.
Currently based in Dallas, Texas, Sasha lives with his wife Julia and son Luca, and manages AutoHub, an automotive parts company, and Saro Ventures, a real estate investment group. He continues to travel and pursue humanitarian efforts worldwide.
